For your pre-workout routine, the first thing that you should note is that your body will not respond to exercise if it is still recovering from a previous workout or stressed. Make sure that you didn’t do anything intensive in the past 2-3 days. Also make sure that you’ve gotten enough sleep the night before because a hard workout without sleep can simply introduce additional stress.

First Step: Make Ready a Source of Protein

For most people, a protein shake will do. Although many people say that whey protein is not that healthy for the body, it is actually the best source of protein for exercises as long as you get it right. This means that you need to buy whey that came from grass-fed cows that is as organic as can be.

Before your workout, drink half of the protein shake 10 minutes prior and the other half afterwards. This will let your muscles work with the protein while you do your workout, and will result in faster muscle gains and better recovery.

Second Step: Warming Up

For this step, you will simply want to keep your blood flowing while keeping your muscles limber. This is intended so that you won’t be doing any damage to your body during the workout. You can do 2 minutes of jumping, dancing or shaking.

Fourth Step: After Working Out
